Non-Surgical Plasma

Non-Surgical Eyelid Treatment

The Non-Surgical Blepharoplasty – (Eyelid Treatment) gives outstanding results which you would normally only expect after surgery but there are no scalpels and no suturing involved. The excess eyelid skin is removed using the plasma beam without damage to the basement membrane, muscle or other underlying structures.

What does the Non-Surgical Plasma Blepharoplasty treat?

  • Saggy/excess upper eyelid skin
  • Baggy lower eyelid skin
  • Crows feet and wrinkles
  • Small skin lesions, warts, xanthelasma
  • Lines and wrinkles (smokers lines)

What does a Plasma Treatment do?

A plasma treatment causes sublimation which is the process of turning a solid straight into a gas so results are instant and there is no heat transferred to surrounding tissues to cause damage to normal skin. The treatment uses plasma so there is no electric current which can cause problems for some patients and the treatments result in tissue retraction and tightening which gives even better results.

What to expect during your Plasma Treatment?

  • Local anaesthetic cream is applied on cleansed skin for an hour.
  • After disinfection, the Purisma Plasma treatment will begin; most
  • patients feel some heat and pain. At the end of the session, there will
  • be small black/brown combustion points in the treated area.
  • Following treatment, the eyelids swell temporarily, which settle in 48-72 hours, and may require use of oral anti inflammatory tablets. The carbon crust takes from 3 to 5 days to disappear.

Is it safe and does it hurt?

Local anaesthetic cream is applied for 30 minutes prior to non-surgical blepharoplasty to minimise any discomfort and the procedure is then virtually painless. For other areas, local anaesthetic cream or injections may be used to provide numbness. The treatment may feel hot in places and there may be a tingling or burning sensation afterwards. PLEXR plasma technology has been used worldwide for several years with no significant adverse events.

Before and After Pictures

How long do results last?

You will start seeing results after the first treatment. Once several sessions are done, results are similar to a surgical procedure. As people get older, the skin will age and new saggy skin might develop. As this happens, repeat sessions might be required.

How much does the treatment cost?

The price for a non-surgical plasma blepharoplasty starts from AED 1600 per session for the upper eyelids and AED 1900 per session for the under eyes.

How long is the recovery period?

The recovery period is short and only lasts for several days. After the procedure there will be some mild scabbing, as this is an element of the treatment. This will go away within a few days, but can be covered by makeup the day after the treatment.
