Bring essential information
For the doctor to get the best overview of your medical history and to create an efficient and effective treatment plan, it is preferable you bring information about your medical history. If you are unable to bring this information or do not have it, we can help you acquire this information or assist you in assessing your medical history.
If relevant, please bring the following with you:
- An overview from your regular primary health physician / GP about your medication and treatment history
- If any recent relevant MRI’s or X-ray’s have been made, it is useful to bring the on CD/DVD or USB-stick, or at least mention that this has been done.
Read the information about the treatment carefully
Before any treatment is performed, you will receive information about the treatment scheduled for you. This includes information about the procedure, any preparations beforehand and risks after the treatment. When you visit the clinic for your treatment to be performed, we will ask you to sign an ‘Informed Consent’, which states that you have read the information and agree with the procedure to be done.
For most treatments, it is not necessary to fast. If this is the case, it will be mentioned by your docor and/or nurse and it will be mentioned in the patient information. Sometimes, directly after the treatment; you are unable to participate in traffic yourself (driving a car). We therefore advise all of our patients to have somebody take you home after the treatment. We can also make arrangements for your trip back home.
The concept of OCP is based on our clinics in The Netherlands, “Optimal Care Pijnklinieken”. We have implemented all of the medical processes that have made “Optimal Care” an efficient and transparent organization into OCP, to ensure that safety is of international standards. “Optimal Care Pijnklinieken” is ISO 9001:2008 and KIWA (Dutch Medical Quality Certification) certified.
Please note that OCP uses CCTV surveillance to ensure the safety of its staff and patients. Surveillance footage is deleted every 24 hours.
